Pedaling for Parkinson's - Winter Park

  • Peggy & Philip B. Crosby Wellness Center 2005 Mizell Ave Winter Park, FL 32792 (map)

The Pedaling for Parkinson’s cycling program is based on research using forced exercise to mitigate motor symptoms related to Parkinson's.  While Pedaling for Parkinson’s is voluntary exercise, participants are encouraged to work out as energetically as possible, with the goal of improving and then maintaining their own performance over time.

The program consists of three 1-hour sessions per week that include a 10-minute warm up followed by 40 minutes of vigorous cycling and then a 10-minute cool down and stretch.

The class is led by a certified cycling instructor with Parkinson’s training and is accompanied by upbeat, fast-paced music for motivation and encouragement.

Contact the Crosby Wellness Center at 407.644.3606 or come over to 2005 Mizell Ave in Winter Park for a tour of the Center and an opportunity to observe a Pedaling for Parkinson’s class. Classes at Crosby are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2 to 3 pm.
