Rock Steady Boxing at CORE- Black Level

Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) at CORE enables people with Parkinson’s disease to FIGHT their disease and gives hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum.

Boxing works by moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout. Recent studies suggest that intense exercise programs may be “neuroprotective”, actually working to delay the progression of symptoms.

Two levels of RSB at CORE classes exist: the Blue level for those with less mobility and a greater degree of PD symptoms; and the Black level for those with more balance and mobility. A monthly membership and initial evaluation are required.

Exercises vary in purpose and form, but all share one common trait: they are intended to extend the perceived capabilities of the participant in an innovative, motivating, and fun environment.
